Restricted jurisdictions.
Northvault operates under a non-US regulatory frame and does not offer the product everywhere. This page describes the categories of jurisdiction we do not serve, how eligibility is determined at signup and on an ongoing basis, and what happens if your status changes after onboarding.
- United States of America — including residents, citizens, and entities incorporated under US law. The product is not offered to US persons under any conditions.
- Sanctioned jurisdictions — including, without limitation, jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions under OFAC, UN, EU, or UK regimes. The full list is maintained dynamically against current sanctions lists.
- Other restricted jurisdictions — countries where Northvault has determined, on counsel's advice, that the product cannot be offered in compliance with local law.
- Identity verification at account opening establishes residency and citizenship.
- IP and device geolocation are checked at signup and periodically thereafter.
- Sanctions screening runs at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
- VPN and proxy use to circumvent restriction is prohibited and may result in account closure.
If your residency, citizenship, or sanctions status changes such that you become ineligible after onboarding, we will notify you, pause new deposits, and work with you to redeem your balance under the standard withdrawal flow. We will not freeze access in a manner that prevents you from recovering your funds, except where doing so would violate applicable sanctions or court order.
